Villa Rotterdam By Ooze, Sense Of The New And The Old

the project of Villa Rotterdam creates a new staircase, kitchen and extra bedrooms in the spaces between the old house and new shell. The building has green roofs and is clad in wooden panels made from fast-growing softwood that’s treated in a high-tech process to make it more durable than tropical hardwoods.
Ooze architects translated the owners Villa Rotterdam desire to recycle the ‘soul’ of the house by transforming it in an unusual way. The young architectural firm began with a commission to design a kitchen that then evolved into a complete renovation. The existing villa was composed of an eclectic set of buildings stuck together forming a strange architectural patchwork
An basically transition building of Villa Rotterdam from the period of 20th century, a first extension built in 1991 mirroring the house and a finished in 2003 to add 3 rooms and apiece facilities just before the current owner moved in.
The Villa Rotterdam structure is expressed on the inside as well, it gives a sense of the new and the old: living in a new a structure together with the old walls. The transition between the several is subtle and gradual. As you go up in the Villa Rotterdam the relationship is changing. The new is gradually taking over the old.
The Villa Rotterdam’s spaces generated for in habitation became very different and very specific enriching the life within in the house.
The Villa Rotterdam’s outside makes reference to traditional Dutch farms using Sedum green roofs and black stained ACCOYA planks in a standard width. The lines of the cladding wrap around the house like a continuous new skin.

Ruth Lilly Visitors Pavilion, Experience Of Nature And Art

Ruth Lilly Visitors Pavilion By Marlon Blackwell Architect

Design concept for the Ruth Lilly Visitors Pavilion came during the initial visit to the site, as he found porous leaves on the forest floor that had been devoured by insects.
The Ruth Lilly Visitors Pavilion using Ipe wood forms extensive decks; it then folds up to form a wall and folds again to create an extensive shade canopy. In an innovative move, Marlon Blackwell placed ultraviolet-rated translucent acrylic bars in the spacing between the wood deck pieces to create a surface people can walk on. Lighting underneath the decking by Marlon Blackwell makes it glow. Then Marlon Blackwell sandwich its in between the folded decking is a 1,200-square-foot, glass-enclosed lounge covered by a skylight.
Marlon Blackwell creats the deck canopy dappled light that shifts and changes throughout the day, making it alive with light and shadow.
The interior space of Ruth Lilly Visitors Pavilion is surrounded by glass on three sides in addition to the skylight ceiling above, allowing visitors to maintain a powerful connection to the natural world around them. The building provides a versatile gathering and education space, restrooms, and emergency services. Carefully sited and in the woods of 100 Acres, the ADA accessible building is accessed by the park’s network of pedestrian Landscape Journeys.
Because of its secluded location and the lack of extensive views beyond the immediate woods, this place becomes a spot for reflection.
The Ruth Lilly Visitors Pavilion idea is that you would come here to begin to interpret the experience of nature and art, It’s just one destination on the journey through the park.

OZ House, Casual House For Family Living. By Swatt | Miers Architects

The design of casual house that evolved is based on a simple L shaped plan with two wings. The east wing includes the kitchen and family room on the ground floor, with children’s bedrooms located on the upper level. The south wing consists of an office, media room, and guest suite at the lower level, with the master suite located on the second floor. Connecting the two wings is a living / dining ‘great room’, fully glazed on the north and south sides. Under a low, cantilevered overhang, a solid mahogany pivoting entrance door opens to the dramatic ‘great room’, a beautiful two-story volume pierced by a floating glass bridge that runs east-west, connecting the two wings at the upper level. With ceilings and two walls of Honduran mahogany, and two walls of floor-to-ceiling glass, this space recalls the indoor-outdoor lobbies of grand resort hotels in the South Pacific.
Materials this casual house have been selected to reinforce the architectural parti for family living. The east and south wings are clad in white, integral colored stucco, as a counterpoint to the mahogany clad central form of the ‘’great room’ for family living. Deep, cantilevered roof extensions, sheathed in mahogany boards at the central space and white stucco at the wings, reinforce the overall horizontal composition, visually dissolving the boundary between inside and outside.
The landscape has been designed to create two distinct environments. The north side includes a motor court, adjacent to an entry courtyard of rectangular stepping- stones over a shallow reflecting pool. Accessed by glass doors from the living and dining areas, the media room, and the kitchen and family rooms, the south side of the house has been designed for family living, with generous stepped terraces, lawn play areas, a barbeque patio, and a swimming pool. A giant heritage oak tree, centered on the main terrace opposite the living room, has been preserved as a special focus, viewed from the entry and main living spaces. As the landscape steps with the natural grades towards the south, the formal aspects of the design begin to dissolve into a more naturalistic composition, contrasting with the orthogonal geometry of the architecture.
The first requirement that the Owners, a young couple with two children, expressed was that their new home should have a casual, barefoot feel, like a vacation destination, with strong indoor-outdoor connections. Their 2.8 acre site, with gentle slopes to the south and mature landscaping on all sides was the perfect setting to create a home that would fully engage the beautiful landscape for family living.

Awesome Private House In Barcelos, Portugal

On top of this Future Private House concrete structure sits a light steel frame system, completed with an exterior insulation finishing system.
Due to the steep topography of the site, this future private house has two storeys on the eastern side, and just one on the western side.
This means that on the western side there is a relevant part of the structure buried.
This is achieved structurally by the use of a load bearing concrete frame, enabling the creation of the undergroud parking space.
The access entry slot of future private house is also framed by two concrete walls, that enable the transition between the entry level on the site and the actual first floor level.
The interiors of  future private house are mainly built with the use of dry-lining systems, and solid woods and/or lacquered woods, for flooring and fitted furniture.
On this side of the building the existing ground level is higher, enabling a connection and continuity between interior and exterior.

Unique Apartment Building in Luxembourg

This apartment is Located at Luxembour-City, Luxembourg . In this construction the use of a unique material, black shiny extruded metal, gives it its monolithic and sculptural character.
During the day, when the weather is nice, it delivers a warm and intense color, which, with its sharp corners,
creates a strong contrast with the absorbing materials of the neighboring buildings (such as the plaster of the facades).
On the first floor, a two-bedroom 80 sqm apartment is designed for a family of three.
Thus, the rooms are isolated at the back of the building in order to ensure intimacy and well-being. A open space, is oriented towards the road.
On the second floor, thanks to a 1m overhang on 3 sides of the building, we suggested building 2 studios, 47 and 48 sqm respectively.
These seem destined for young couples without children. Considering the narrowness of the apartments only the bathrooms are separated
by wall whereas the rest of the space is structured using furniture, assigning the different functions. On the third floor we come across a 115 sqm duplex apartment.
A sturdy all-glass ceiling ensure the sunshine to get through to the north-oriented kitchen and dining room.
Art emphasizes this formal game of the spaces that seem to have “slid” to give way to the organic sketches and eccentric colors created by the artist.
This cooperation puts forward the idea of the existence of equilibrium between the development of our building landscape and the artistic interpretation.

Lake Balaton Summer Villa, Hungary

This sustainable summer villa Located at Lake Balaton, Hungary has a lot of custom-designed elements. The exterior wood-panel covers and the suspended ceiling continuing in the interior coverings, the in-built doors and wardrobes becoming part of the wood panel covered wall.
The custom-made fireplace has been engineered without prefabricated elements. Even the sliding shutters and the first store’s fix shading blades were designed exclusively for the project.
The house responds to the sustainable and environmental friendly questions with the solar-panel heated swimming pool, the special spaces and the high insulated structures.
This is the past. The above mentioned free plots are expensive and rare today. Our Owner of the plot has been very committed building a high quality modern villa for summer use.
We decided to blur the boundaries of outside and inside spaces at the ground level, as the plot is small like all plots in this area. The garden became part of the ground floor space.
The exterior stone pavement continues inside the villa separated with full story high glass walls. The living room and the terrace can be opened together with sliding doors, duplicating the living room size.
The summer villa sliding doors are facing the pool from the other side, connecting the water surface directly to the living area inside. The ground floor is totally transparent. The back wall is made from exposed concrete separating the close neighbor.
First floor of summer villa is the family zone. The 4 bedroom and the 2 bathroom is located in a symmetrical layout. These bedrooms are connected by the gallery, opening to a two story high space above the dining room.
The summer villa is situated on the South coast of Lake Balaton, the biggest lake of Central Europe. The lakeside is almost completely occupied by holiday houses.
There are no more or not too many free plots in the most popular areas of summer villa. The plot size and the neighborhood is disappointing even if you are lucky enough to find one. Lake Balaton used to be the only possibility for hungarians to have a holiday on the waterside.
Almost every family built a small house or just a bungalow in one of the holiday cities of the lake. People didn’t have too much money for construction and the result was usually a home made solution. Furniture, houses, streets became very eclectic.
The Summer Villa has Architected by FBI Studio architects. We have Photographs by Zsolt Batár, Antal Kiss.

Luxurious Villa Allegra, Miami Beach

Located at Miami Beach, Florida has multiple rooms, both interior and exterior, have been added to a non-descript, one-story home transforming it into a receiver of Miami’s tropical climate.
While the effect is striking, minimal alterations were made to the existing structure of Villa Allegra. The house is entered through a 20′x30′x30′ volume where a reflecting modern swiming pool and oculus align to activate the space with reflection and luminance.
Room with a large size organizes the house into private and public realms.
The second floor contains a secluded courtyard garden, off the master bedroom. The project provides a flexible infrastructure for the participation and enjoyment of the pleasures of life.
Use specific materials include impact resistant glass, stucco, concrete, Ipe wood flooring, Indian sandstone, and onyx. This beautyful villa Allegra responds to the context of historical homes in the neighborhood abstracting the application of indigenous materials such as local cypress, and fossilized keystone.
Powder coated laser-cut aluminum screens also reference the past in a futuristic manner.

Beautyful Stribrna Skalice House In Klanovice village

The key part of the interior of Beautyful Stribrna Skalice house is an exposed gallery above the dining room. It lets the space of the downstairs penetrate the top floor and thus forms a clean airy hall.
The facade of the Beautyful Stribrna Skalice house wants to correspond with a large number of functionalist villas scattered around Klanovice.
This Beautyful Stribrna Skalice house is designed with wooden low-energy house with a dominant mass of the top floor is located in the Klanovice village just off bustling Prague.
The ground floor opens to the south-west with large windows and unique French doors that span the maximum possible part of the face of the building.
The bulk of the top floor in Beautyful Stribrna Skalice house overlaps and eclipses much subtler dimensions of the ground floor and casts a natural shadow over the balcony and terrace.
Contrary to that, the north-east section – adjacent to the fence and the neighbour’s estate – provides required privacy.
The upper part is covered in white plastering to visually enhance the magnitude of it.
The rest of the building is wrapped in a wooden shell which balances the monumentality of the white colour, perfectly interacts with the wooden terraces and anchors the entire house to the ground.

Perfect Residence, Westside Road Private Residence

The building site is located on a hilltop, permitting expansive views of the Russian River Valley.
The house was conceived as a pre-fab /site-built hybrid-utilizing the efficiencies of a pre-fabricated, panelized framing system that was incorporated into custom, site-built construction.
This project involves the design of a new 2240 sqf custom home and lap pool on a 22 acre site with rolling hills and a steep wooden ravine.
As the architect’s own residence, the project was designed as an experiment for green living and a laboratory for learning, testing, and teaching sustainable building concepts within the aesthetic framework of clean,
modern design. Every attempt was made to utilize the most energy efficient systems and sustainable materials within a limited ‘real world’ budget.
Sustainable design was a high priority and every attempt was made to utilize the most energy efficient systems and materials.
This project participated in the USGBC LEED for Homes program and has been certified at the Platinum level.

Modern And Unique Black House Decoration

The volume of the modern and unique black house consists of two elements. the shell and the fragile glass membrane as the core of the modern and unique black house. The shell with its perforations allows framing; reduced views and protection of the transparent core.
A modern and unique black house requires a lot of client’s confidence. Designing two black houses, one of which for rental purpose, requires a lot more. In a sense of a programme, houses are meant to be two identical units,
of the same scenario and life quality, accepting the orientation and privacy. each designed on the same principle while forming a spatial composition together.
Between the core and the shell number of atriums are formed, enabling certain functional zones to reach to the outside. Framed outside spaces are formed in that way, and additional quality and character to the modern and unique black houses.
Besides the conceptual bonds, Black house decoration are physically connected by series of walls. Walls of black house decoration surround the site, but continue onto the base of each object to finish on shell of the house.
the entrance, the passage to the garden, the wooden- decked terrace of the living room in modern and unique black house, the private terrace of the master bedroom.
Besides the functionality of modern and unique black house, these spaces have special atmosphere due to relation between the full and the empty, the play of light and shade and the non-existing line between inner and outer space. You will excited with the design of modern and unique black house.
